Why Genano

We inhale approximately 10,000 litres of air per day. We do not drink contaminated water so why accept contaminated air? It is very important to remove even the smallest impurities from indoor air.

The most used air purifiers are equipped with a HEPA filter and can remove particles of 300 nanometres and larger. HEPA filters cannot remove ultrafine particles from the air. Up to 66% of impurities in indoor air are smaller than 100 nanometers. HEPA filters cannot remove hazardous gaseous compounds either.

Ultra-fine particles and harmful gases in the air we breathe are the biggest health risk because they do not remain on the mucous membrane but penetrate the circulation through the alveoli. The smaller the particle, the deeper it travels in the respiratory tract. Such impurities include, for example fragments of mould filaments, gas-like toxins produced by mould, gases emitted from building materials and particulate matter from outdoor air.

The lifetime costs of Genano air purifiers are low. Genano does not use exchangeable fibre filters whose costs are significant over time. Genano air purifiers are durable and have a metallic construction: they last tens of years in use.

How the Genano Technology Works

  1. Contaminated air is channelled into a collection chamber inside the unit.
  2. Particles of all sizes are charged negatively in a powerful corona discharge. The negatively charged particles are attached to the positive collection camber. Organic microbes are destroyed with electronic shocks.
  3. The air flow is channelled through an active carbon filter which removes VOC’s and odour molecules.
  4. The air emitted is free of all particles, including ultrafine particles, organic microbes, viruses and spores, and well as gases and odours.
  5. Mobile Genano units have an automatic washing function which reduced the need for maintenance and always keeps the cleaning efficiency high.

With Genano Air Purifiers, you can remove even nano-size particles, gaseous compounds (VOC’s) and microbes; such as bacteria, viruses and mold spores from indoor air

Their unique electric filtration technology removes even the most dangerous ultra-fine particles, that cause harm to our bodies by penetrating to the blood circulation through lungs. When traditional fiber filter can collect particles about up to 300 nanometer (=0,3 µm) size, Genano® Nonthermal Plasma filtering technology collects particles even 3 nanometer (=0.0003 µm) of size.
